So here's where I share some of my great big passion for music!  I honestly can't think of a style of music I dislike, in fact, I have a massive collection of music in all forms, vinyl, cassette tapes, CDs, mp3s, literally hundreds and hundreds, if not more!  The last 5 years I've been learning all I can about hip hop, rap, urban, socca and reggae, but I'd have to say that blues is still my most consistent musical love.  Truth is, I'll listen to anything though, as long as it's GOOD quality music, and one of my favourite websites for exploring music is www.allmusic.com.  I highly recommend you visit them for any and all information about artists and their music.  They even have the easiest way to search out a song with as little as one word which is really handy when you don't know or can't remember a song title or who the artis is.

So I've been learning a bit more about New Rock since I've begun doing some on- airwork here on the Conestoga College radio station, 88.3 CJIQ FM, you really need to take a listen, there's absolutely something for everyone, including multicultural programming on the weekends.

Recently I discovered a fab radio station in the Caribbean, while doing an assignment for school.  I am absolutely addicted to it and listen to them online while I'm at school.  I also record the station when I'm at school and can't listen so I can enjoy it later at home.  The station is 94.5 FM the WAVE St Lucia, and I highly recommend you check it out!  You'll find some familiar music, but they seem to air newer tunes faster than here in Canada, and they play a great mix of music.  What I find fascinating is how some things are the same and yet, some of the things they do and the way they do them are SOOOO different than we do here in Canada on radio.  Have a listen sometime, and let me know what you think.
